My Vaginal Life Saver

Earlier this year I started having weird run ins with yeast infections and bacterial vaginoses. Upon visiting my gynecologist, she prescribed me antibiotics (twice for the first two times). The antibiotics zapped my yeast infection up SO quick, I was super grateful because my lady part felt on fire. I literally thought my vagina was about to fall off. Meanwhile those antibiotics dried me out-if you know what I mean. I was pissed, just when I was able to heal one things another issue arises. Let’s just say dryness isn’t an issue I’ve ever had before.

I’ve been trying to move away from using less chemicals in my body products and once I got my second yeast infection I swore off eating sugars and carbs. Okay, not totally but at least less sweets and less carbs-I hadn’t yet built up the discipline to make a clean cut. About a month after my yeast infection clears up I get bacteria vaginosis. I’m thinking damn, I’m not taking any more antibiotics. Not when I can rely on mother earth to help me clear this mess up.  So, I’m reading up on natural ways to cure all these things I have going on. I’m feeling completely embarrassed and dirty. I know these issues are common, but I didn’t know exactly how common.  I’m researching different common products to use like ACV, baking soda, tee tree oil, and a good third of the wellness aisle at Whole Foods. My sex drive was low, and I was acting like a bitch because my vagina was all out of sorts. I was basically like fuck it, if this is how it’s going be I’ll just be celibate because I cannot keep incurring these problems.

One night I’m searching through the deep bowels of the internet on practical (preferably quick) ways to heal my vaginal symptoms. I stumble upon a website that is boasting about these probiotics called Balance Complex for women. I click on the link which leads me to the Amazon page to purchase the pills and there in the comments section I find a whole community of women who have been dealing with my same exact issues- except for many of them, this has been a several year battle. My mouth drops as I read through the testimonies about how this probiotic has totally changed the health of these women’s vaginas and significantly improved their sex life as a domino effect.

I check the price out and I learn these pills are about $40 and although the comment section is filled of changed lives I’m still skeptical because I don’t want to order these, and they don’t work and then I must go through the trouble of returning them and continue my search. Long story short, I order them, and they work, and my vagina feels completely new and improved. Which is great because I do not have the time or emotional wherewithal to wage a war with my vagina for the next few years of my life.

I told this story because except for one friend no one had every really confided in me that they had these issues before on the consistent bases. So, I really wasn’t sure what to do, especially because my gyno didn’t warn me of possible side effects of the antibiotics nor did she give me a solid list of probiotics she would suggest. She was nice and sensitive to my issues, but she wasn’t as informative on the solution end of things as I would’ve liked. Even if you don’t suffer from these issues its good to consume probiotics for your general health and your vaginal health. Ever since I’ve discovered these pills I’ve been singing their praises because I have seen a positive effect in my overall health.
