one thousand six hundred and forty three days and the image is forever etched in her memory

salted caramel skin and lower back kisses

hot days and sticky nights

her eyes focused on his every move

attentive

meticulous

spontaneous

she likes control but she surrendered

Shallow End

I like to test the waters before I dive right in

I sit back and I watch and I'm waiting

Waiting for a connection

Waiting for a clue that maybe somethings there

Maybe this will last

Maybe he's the one

Maybe he's a catch

But you're watching too

Watching your prey

And waiting

Waiting to pounce

Waiting for me to show an ounce of fear

Studying me like calculus

Planning your next move

And before I can give my heart away

You've taken my body

Impatient now, there's no rhythm in your movements

There's no melody in your words

No passion in your kiss

And I've drowned in you

When all I wanted to do was test the waters
